Description
Designed with two compartments, the Crown Steam GSX-10HE commercial steamer accommodates 10 full-size pans, and each section is controlled independently with a panel on the front. They have on/off/delime switches and lights that indicate ignition, ready, and cooking. To track the cooking process, the operator can set the 60-minute timer and work on other dishes until they hear the end-of-cycle alarm. The unit is powered by natural gas, so it heats up quicker than an electric unit, but it requires space under a hood vent.
Pan supports are included with this Crown Steam GSX-10HE convection steamer, and they can be removed to facilitate cleaning. The interior, exterior, and cabinet base are made of stainless steel—a durable material that is rust resistant and eases cleanup. Because the corners in the compartments are coved, they prevent crumbs from getting stuck and harboring bacteria. If one of the section doors is opened, the flow of steam is disrupted until the door is closed.

The cooking chamber is a one piece all welded, #316 stainless steel with coved corners. The heavy duty door has an inner liner of stainless steel with a full perimeter gasket seal, an outer liner of one piece all welded stainless steel, and a positive lock and seal mechanism with spring release. Each compartment is provided with removable stainless steel pan supports. A stainless steel drip trough is integrally connected to drain to collect condensate when the doors are opened.
