What is a Brotform used for? The Brotform allows the dough to rise, and as it rises, the dough takes the shape of the Brotform. The natural cane absorbs the moisture in the dough while the tight spaces between the cane allows just enough air to help the dough to rise evenly. And, just enough moisture is removed so the crust is crunchy as it bakes. Once the dough has risen, use the Brotform to take it directly to the baking sheet and into the oven, while helping the bread keep its shape in the process. Once your bread is basked, use the Brotform as a serving basket! The Brotform liner provides further protection for the brotform, keeping it cleaner when you use it. Why Use Frieling's Brotforms? Our brotforms are made of natural cane. They ensure your bread dough receives a better rise, a crunchy ribbed crust, and a superior texture, for which European breads are known.Manufactured in Vietnam, we ensure that our bannetons go through a strict control process, ensuring that each basket does not have gaps, slivers of wood, or loose staples. Furthermore, we also use natural cane for our production process. Why Use Frieling's Brotform Liners? 100% cotton, seamless liners make the Brotform even more convenient. Other liners have seams which then show on the baked bread. Frieling's liners maintain dough shape without a seam line.7 custom shapes to fit our Brotforms perfectly! 7" Round 8" Round 10" Round 11" Round Add to Cart Add to Cart Add to Cart Add to Cart Customer Reviews 3.7 out of 5 stars 30 3.7 out of 5 stars 30 3.7 out of 5 stars 30 3.7 out of 5 stars 30 Price $32.87$32.87 $35.40$35.40 $39.90$39.90 $54.20$54.20 Shape Circle Circle Circle Circle Size 7" 8" 10" 11" Loaf Size 1/2 lb. 1 lb. 2 lb. 3 lb. 7" x 10" Oval 5.5" x 12" Rectangle Fits 3" x 17" Baguette Add to Cart Add to Cart Buying Options Customer Reviews 3.7 out of 5 stars 30 3.7 out of 5 stars 30 — Price $45.62$45.62 $40.90$40.90 — no data Shape Oval Rectangle Baguette Size 7" x 10" 5.5" x 12" 17" x 3" Loaf Size 1 lb. 2 lb. 1/2 lb. This is definitely on the more expensive side, but it's WELL worth it. A few splinters at the outset (just some stray threads) but once those are gone it's solid, clean and works perfectly. Took a little bit less flour than I'd expected and holds 1.5lb loaves comfortably, could potentially stretch to 2 if you really tried.I waffled for a while buying this versus one of the cheapies - if you're a frequent bread maker, spring for quality.
