I wouldn't say it keeps my bread fresh, it lets in air that makes the bread dry, but it is a neat bag.I am not sure how these are fully supposed to be used, but my bread became crouton consistency after storing it in these bags. Might have to use kraft paper inside the bag to contain freshness.These bags are really pretty and seem like they'll hold up really well. But I'm not at all pleased with how they work, my bread does not stay fresh whatsoever. I'm sad and very disappointed about that, I was looking so forward to having something else aside from plastic bags to keep my sourdough bread fresh. I would return it but I've already washed them so I could try it out and threw all the packaging away. If your wanting this more just for looks it's perfect but keep in mind you'll want to put your bread in a ziplock or plastic bag to keep it fresh.I chose these because the sellers/makers of this product state: "We are a small family business located in Los Angeles, California." That may be completely true, but the label on these say they were Made In China. I am trying to actually support America/Americans in my purchases this Christmas. I know they don't claim they are made in America, but I was really hoping they were. So I will be returning these bags and look for another product.I wanted a sustainable choice for storing bagels and homemade bread. These generously-sized bags are perfect. Wide openings to accommodate a variety of bread shapes. Simple, washable fabric, with a classy, neutral design. Easy enough for my kids to open and close, and attractive enough to leave on the counter. Recommended.I make artisan loaves of bread. I was hoping these bags would be a great alternative to using disposable cellophane bags. But these bags run small. The loaves don’t fit, and I will have to cut the loaves to fit. I wouldnt buy these again.Nice concept, but doesn't actually keep the bread well, and shrank significantly when it was washed in cold water.These have not been laundered yet, but they appear to be very well made and a good size. Hoping that they do not shrink much when laundered in cool water on a gentle cycle and fluff dried.Made in China and poorly.Only one of 2 items actually arrived and it was so very flimsy and poorly made.This was a huge disappointment.
