Sago Brothers Plastic Black 5" Twist Ties (B00PVI5DAS)I use a lot of twist ties in my work to bundle up excess electronics cables. I prefer twist ties to zip ties because I can undo them easily and adjust the cables. I also use them to bundle the many spare cables I keep, and I want to be able to untie them, use the cables, and retie them with ease. I used the green, gardening twist ties previously, which are the only ones I can find at off-line stores, but the grass-green looked a bit tacky among electronics. I bought these so I could use a more appropriate color. These twist ties are roughly equivalent to the gardening variety, except that these are slightly wider. The wire gauge seems to be the same or maybe slightly thinner - probably #27 based on my comparison to Weststone's twist ties. They are by no means heavy-duty, but they are durable and reusable judging by the experimental abuse I put them through. The wire and casing are not as thick as I would like, being about the same as what you would find on a bread bag, but they will be adequate for most cable-tidying jobs (the gardening twist ties worked well enough). At least four 180° twists are required to make a secure hold. The plastic casing is the flat style like the gardening ties (as opposed to the thicker, oval style) and is 1/8" (3mm) wide. The ties come as a bundle wrapped in a twist tie and packaged in a disposable plastic bag (no jar or other reusable container).I bought these and the much more expensive (per inch) My grandson uses them to structure dinosaurs by twisting them together to create bulk. They don't hurt his hands like some do. He goes through hundreds of them.I ordered the 500 piece twist ties before and they worked very well so I decided to order the 1000 piece this time. There was a minor issue with the twist ties but the seller reached out and resolved the issue. As for the twist ties themselves, they are matte black and very flexible. They aren't the most durable, but they're good for most things that you might need them for, such as organizing cables, tying plant stems, resealing bags, etc. I chose these over other types of twist ties because of the neutral black color, slightly thicker wire, and because the plastic around the wire isn't as flimsy as most. I would recommend these twist ties if you need them in bulk since they seem to be made of better material than other twist ties at this price point (such as the paper-wrapped twist ties or the flimsy ones wrapped in thin, metallic plastic).I was constantly looking for ties to tie up my trash bags the night prior to my trash pick up day. I kept buying inferior trash bags that didn't have tie flaps built in so this was a constant, real struggle. My weekly panic attacks and overall anxiety has decreased immensely since the arrival of these beauties. They are very well constructed and tie up trash bags perfectly. They have the perfect gauge of wire in them, and the black satin finish is strikingly beautiful. They are EXACTLY 5 inches long. I can't wait to burn through all 500 of these so I can order some more. At the rate I'm placing trash and yard bags at the curb weekly, I'm estimating that this will be in about 12 1/2 years. That being said, I'm really looking forward to these 12 1/2 years as my quality of life has gone up greatly since I started using these ties. If you are on the fence about purchasing these, go ahead and take the plunge as you will have no regrets. Even my trash pickup crew has commented on how good these ties perform, and several of my neighbors have also started using them. I'm going to try to find other uses for these but they perform so well with the trash bags, I wouldn't want to set myself up for disappointment in the unlikely event they would fail in their expanded use endeavor. You could spend more for a thicker tie twist. However, I have spent less and gotten ties that fall apart. These actually the best middle-of-the-road twist ties I have used and perhaps that's not even a fair assessment of their quality. These are very, very nice. They outshine the standard ties that are made of paper and shred after multiple uses. These are plastic, are thick enough to last through several uses, and are nice and flexible.I would put these in the category of "best for general use." If you are looking for twist ties for heavy-duty projects then you will probably want to look for something stronger. However, for something as simple as cable management, these work very nicely.Great product at good priceThese are stronger than the twist ties you get with trash bags or at the grocery store, but they are still somewhat flimsy. I used them for handmade masks and they work fine. I bent these multiple times back and forth to see if the wire will break, but the plastic seems to keep it pretty secure. I don’t think it will break like the aluminum ones do. Not sure how it will hold up after multiple washes in the machine though. If you’re hand washing the masks then there shouldn’t be any issues.
