All of my bread items & cookies are lasting a bit longer in this ample sized bread box with ventilating holes on the back. It has a simple lift handle to manually lift open & close. You won't want to let it just drop from your hand to shut. That would probably abuse the hinges & even warp the metal a bit. It's durable with gentle normal use, but it would likely dent with undue force. Also, the opened lid will go all the way back to the surface it's set on. I didn't want that, so mine is set for the lid to touch the wall upon opening. The slightly lighter, softer red color matches well with all of my other small kitchen appliances. However, if your shade preference is, for examples, a bright, bold red, or a dark bloodred, this red bread box will not be an identical shade. My kitchen has an assortment of reds, so I am pleased with its integration. I bought this as a "second chance" item, which I got at a bargain price. It arrived in excellent condition & I am more than satisfied.I was worried that it would be too big on my counter top after reading some of the reviews. I purchased the large and I couldn’t be happier. It’s not too big by no means especially if you want to put more than one loaf of bread in it and it does not take up a lot of space!I liked the clean retro design. I preferred this metal storage over plastic or wood. Convenient.Purchased to match new coffee maker, toaster comb ,also ordered. Is darker and slightly different color but is huge ,holds bread, coffee supplies and butter tub. Watch the sizing before ordering so you know it will fit your space.I bought this NOT to put bread inside but to hide all the supplements and pills I take daily. Its clean and a cleaver little box to put next to your sitting area to take your daily supplements or meds incognito. Give it a try!!I really loved the extra character bread boxes gave to spaces, so I wanted one for my Konmari pantry. I wanted one that was long enough to hold an entire loaf of normal store bread, I wanted a robin's egg blue type color, and I wanted it to look cute. I really love this one as it matches the blue labels in this pantry as well as the robin's egg blue pops of color I have throughout the entire kitchen and house. It's a fun character statement piece. It holds a ton - my regular loaf, tortillas, and hamburger buns, and nothing is squished. I do sometimes forget about what is in there because it is a closed container and everything else I have is clear, so I try to keep a limited about of stuff in there.My only complaint is that the lid doesn't close PERFECTLY. It catches a little bit in the corner. I ordered another one and it had the same issue, so I think it's just this design. I did order a white bread box to see if I liked that color better and it was a different brand and it closed perfectly and did not catch, so if you are OCD about that stuff, this might bug you. Now that it's in the pantry, I never even notice it though.Absolutely love this bread box. Perfect for any coastal or vintage themed kitchen. Large enough for two loaves of bread or other items. The vents in back help keep stored items fresh. Highly recommend!Beautiful color. Perfect size. Love itHow any self respecting company would allow something in the shape this was in out of their warehouse is beyond me. Rivets not done correct and also not done, tons of dents and scratches as well. this was also bag'd for protection in its manufacturer box so this was all done at the factory not purely by shipping, though there isn't any foam in the manufacturer box to help with that either. I'm hopping this is a one off as i did request a replacement if not i will update to advise. ***UPDATE*** So replacment came quick and unfortunately is not the same color the replacment is a jade color now ... perfect shape just now doesnt match the spoon holder ordered at the same time (picture added to show the difference. Also note the word bread the are diferent fonts and size on each box also slight difference on the inside pakaging. So from what i can tell they make these at several vendors and have really bad quality control. Buyer beware as if seems like luck of the draw with what you will get. Not worth the cost or head ache with having to return BOTH boxes . Avoid this item.I love this bread box! I can fit EVERYTHING in there. Helps reduce so much clutter on my pantry shelf. My kitchen just looks so much more tidy and organized now.It came in perfect condition. I got the off-white colour. It looks clean and classic. Love it.This box is big enough to store a very large family of croissants. My husband absolutely hates the colour so anyone with a minimum of taste will find it very pretty (I for sure do). Unfortunately, it won't prevent him from eating those croissants...Bigger than I thought it was going to be! Which it perfect, holds more that two full loafs of bread, and doesn't look too bulky on the counter. Shipping was super quick and package and contents were in perfect condition on arrival.La panera es bonita, de latón, lo único que no esperaba es que fuera tan delgada la lámina. En general creo que es un lujo por el precio, pero se ve bien y es bastante grande (revisa las medidas, es realmente grande). Guardamos pan, galleta, tortillas, y sí hace un cambio a tener todo regado.Algo que me sorprendió es que Amazon quitó los renders 3D en su app para el celular, por ese render me convencí a comprarla ya que se podía ver el tamaño, pero bueno, si lo estás dudando: es delgada y sirve para pan. La decisión es cuestión estética.
