Possibly not the most common use of these, but I got them to donate to my local animal shelter. They need them for kitten litter boxes. They work quite well for that. They're sturdy enough for that, but for home stuff I'd call them medium duty.Don't forget to use the Smile.Amazon.com address - It's an Amazon program where many everyday things you buy will generate a small donation from Amazon to the charity of your choice. Midgrade sturdiness I would say.Fantastic price for 12 of them! Cheaper than the buy 6 option even, so why not?I bought them to use as cleanable nesting boxes in my chicken coop and they work fantastically for that. For those of your who have chickens and are thinking the same thing, because the chickens weigh more than these containers, you'll need to either mount them permanently somehow, create an area for them to fit snugly into (which I now have...and it's great...no weight needed) or do like I did (in the beginning) and put a heavy rock inside to weigh it down. Then throw some straw in there. The chickens don't like the empty container too well and the rock scares them a little without the straw. Once I put straw in there, they loved them. Two chickens lay inside these at the same time. Though I didn't expect that to be the case, they do it! :)I bought a single one of these, and kept wishing I had more - so I bought the 12-pack! Great on shelves, under sinks, IN sinks, in drawers, in cabinets, in the laundry room....just use your imagination. They're also great as temporary sorting bins for smaller items (or paperwork!) if you're in the process of getting organized. If you need more than one or two, you get way more bang for your buck with the 12-pack. If you don't need all 12 right away, well, they stack neatly! If white is too boring for you, they come in red!In case you're wondering, the bins arrived in the original manufacturer's box. None of them were chipped or broken, although there was initially a bit of a chemically/plastic smell that DID go away.We used these in the dugout during games for our little boys to keep their hats, helmets, gloves, drinks, etc. together. They worked well. We put their names on them using white duct tape so that the bins could easily be reused. Once they outgrew them, we used them for fundraising car washes. They hold up well. Never used them for dishes, though.Great value! It's wonderful to have these on hand; we use them to organize everything from bath toys to sunscreen in the garage. Adding vinyl labels cut out from a circuit makes you feel extra on top of things....if only I had time to do that....I ordered 48 of these dish pans to organize my workshop shelves. They work great. I have them all lined up on the shelves with labels on each one so I know where to find things now. They are a good size, wide and deep, and durable. No more cardboard boxes that gave my workshop a sloppy look.I purchased these to use on wire rack in my pantry. I store different items in them. They hold food storage containers, another holds the lids for those containers while others hold miscellaneous small items. Makes my life easier! We use these in the field when sampling fish. They are durable, rinse clean, and stack well.
