This is exactly what I needed! Had an old 302 from my 1979 Mustang Ghia rebuilt and when I was about to drop it in my 1983 Mustang GT, I realized that the Ford Racing oil pan kit doesn't have a provision for the dipstick tube, and I have no idea what I did with the 1979 oil pan. I bought this and it works great! The tricky part is finding anything on the internet that will tell you what dipstick tube WILL work. I bought the Canton Universal Steel Dipstick Tube (part number 20850). The dipstick tube comes with two brass fittings on it. You just need to remove the bottom fitting (closest to the bottom of the dipstick tube) and use the smaller one. The smaller one has larger threads that will fit this pan. I also used a bit of thread sealer. It's about $100 for the pan and tube (when I bought) but it solves the problem!
