Gentle Heating Technology

Alto-Shaam’s 500-S series holding cabinet can keep meat, poultry, fish, potatoes, vegetables, bread and a variety of other foods hot for hours without drying them out or draining them of flavour. It uses Halo Heat, a controlled heat source that gently surrounds food in order to preserve the product’s natural moisture and texture. Halo Heat doesn’t generate steam or use fans to move the air around which can wash out the flavour or overcook and dry out your meals. Instead a gentle radiant heat is produced throughout the sealed, static environment inside the cabinet.

Large Capacity and Simple Controls

This Alto-Shaam holding cabinet can fit six full-size 12” x 20” pans or a maximum of 60 pounds of food, allowing you to keep up with even the busiest days with the peace of mind that the meals you’re serving are as hot and fresh as they were coming out of the oven.

The cabinet comes equipped with simple controls that include a power switch, digital display, heat indicator light, and arrows for adjusting the temperature from 60°F to 200°F (16°C to 93°C).

High-Quality and Durable Design

The entire unit is constructed from a durable stainless steel that resists corrosion. It comes with an anti-microbial handle that prevents the spread of germs and bacteria. A set of 2.5” heavy-duty casters (two rigid and two swivel with brakes) are also standard giving you the freedom to easily move the cabinet as needed for cleaning or maintenance. Two chrome plated wire racks are also included and can be adjusted across 11 pan positions.
